Meet the Punk Rock Farmer
Jonathan Lawler, aka the Punk Rock Farmer is a passionate advocate for Agriculture. Jonathan founded Brandywine Creek Farms in 2016 with the purpose to address food insecurity in Central Indiana and advocate for healthy food access throughout the country. After donating almost 7 million pounds of produce and protein, Jonathan felt it was time to go into full time advocacy.
During his time with Brandywine Creek Farms, Jonathan formed relationships with several wonderful people in the film industry. Jonathan learned how to direct and produce agcentric films/shows/documentaries/shorts and has now turned that talent to promoting agriculture.
Jonathan is an expert in public relations and has served several organizations in public relations and public outreach. Jonathan is well versed in in animal rights activism and is often called upon when activists target farms and organizations within the agricultural and pet industries. As a advocate for food security, Jonathan understands the need to fight these anti animal groups at every step. Jonathan has successfully defeated several NGOs in the legislative ring and is well versed in communications around legislative action, running communications teams on several pieces of legislation.
Jonathan is a passionate speaker who brings his quick wit, agriculture and advocacy skills to the table when speaking. We love all agricultural speakers, but we all know that they can start to sound a lot a like, speaking about the same subject matter. Jonathan’s edgy, rebellious style is a breath of fresh air in Ag Advocacy. His experience as a farmer, a disruptor, and his ability to bridge his rural roots into the urban audience is second to none. Jonathan can inspire, excite, and encourage new levels of participation within your group, company, or organization.
